PRAGA LAB is an experimental project focused on identification of effective tools for linking Praga’s heritage with development of local economy. From June 2019 through next 3 years PRAGA LAB team in cooperation with local stakeholders will be searching and testing solutions allowing to minimize the existing barriers for collaboration and development of heritage connected initiatives in the area.
Main task will be to test models of connecting stakeholders with un-used spaces in Praga district, including buildings and public spaces. Focal point is intangible and tangible heritage of Praga connected to work and its traditions. Historically Praga is a district of blue-collar working class and with numerous production sites, small as well as large factories and rich heritage from the industrialization period. Nowadays Praga is strongly influenced by the artistic community, yet with strong roots in the past thanks to its traditions cultivated by communities living here and historical built environment. This makes Praga authentic in the social and spatial context. The aim of PRAGA LAB is to counteract vanishing of this unique identity and values. We are searching for solutions and partners to do it.

Konkurs MADE IN PRAGA przeznaczony jest dla mikro i małych przedsiębiorców, artystów/artystek tworzących indywidualnie, grup artystycznych, osób fizycznych planujących rozpoczęcie działalności. W konkursie mogą brać udział osoby lub organizacje, których główna prowadzona lub planowana działalność to:
Twórczość artystyczna (w dowolnej dziedzinie)
Produkcja (wytwórczość, przetwórstwo)
Naprawa
Kawiarnie rzemieślnicze (związane z lokalną produkcją napojów lub żywności, np. pieczenie pieczywa i/lub ciast, palenie kawy itp.).
Celem konkursu jest lepsze powiązanie lokalnej gospodarki oraz działalności artystycznej z dziedzictwem materialnym i niematerialnym Pragi w tym wzmocnienie i wsparcie powyższych podmiotów.
Rozpoczniemy pierwszy okres 6 miesięcznej współpracy z partnerami wybranymi w konkursie. Współpraca będzie prowadzona cyklicznie w ramach kolejnych 6 miesięcznych okresów, zawsze z maksymalnie 2 partnerami.
W tym etapie podsumujemy i zaprezentujemy wyniki współpracy z partnerami wybranymi w konkursach. Przyjrzymy się najważniejszym problemom i wyzwaniom oraz sposobom mierzenia się z nimi.

W ramach procesu MADE IN PRAGA testujemy różnorodne formy współpracy pomiędzy PRAGA LAB a konkretnymi partnerami: mikro lub małymi przedsiębiorcami, artystami tworzącymi indywidualnie, grupami artystycznymi lub osobami fizycznymi planującymi rozpoczęcie działalności lub już działającymi w co najmniej jednym z 4 obszarów:
PRODUKCJA Rzeczy nie muszą być anonimowe, nietrwałe i produkowane masowo. Lokalna produkcja w małej skali wytwarza rzeczy mniej banalne, mniej powtarzalne, za to trwalsze i zwykle piękniejsze niż te wytwarzane masowo. Nie musi to oznaczać produkcji luksusowej! Poszukujemy szczególnie niewielkich firm, które tworzą rzeczy trwałe i dobrej jakości, dostępne dla większej grupy odbiorców. Warto przypomnieć sobie zasadę, że właśnie osób mniej zamożnych nie stać na rzeczy niskiej jakości. Lokalna produkcja tworzy tożsamość miejsc, pozwala zbudować relacje z klientami i współpracownikami, a dzięki internetowi może także dotrzeć do odbiorców z drugiego końca świata.
NAPRAWA Waste not, want not! Kto nie marnuje, temu nie brakuje...Naprawa w wielu krajach świata nabiera nowego blasku. Pozwala oszczędzać pieniądze i środowisko, tworzy w naszym życiu poczucie trwałości. Przyjemnie jest lubić rzeczy, które nas otaczają, a skoro je lubimy dlaczego mielibyśmy się ich łatwo pozbywać? Naprawianie to dobry zwyczaj, chcemy je wspierać!

KAWIARNIE RZEMIEŚLNICZE Od dziesiątków lat kawiarnie to szczególne miejsca w europejskich miastach - przestrzeń do spotkań, dyskusji, życia towarzyskiego, intelektualnego, artystycznego, uczuciowego...Chcemy wspierać te kawiarnie, które oprócz tych funkcji mają jeszcze wartość dodaną - niewielką produkcję na potrzeby klientów, np. ciasta pieczone na miejscu albo palarnię kawy. Takie połączenie ma szczególną wartość, popieramy!
